About Rita’s Coffee

Rita’s coffee is all about my mother - Rita Warrington Dangleben. My earliest memory of coffee is that of my mother peeling coffee beans, drying the beans, roasting the beans and placing the beans in a manual grinder . I can still visualize that grinder as she pulls out the drawer filled with the finely ground coffee. Next, she brewed the fresh coffee and strained through a cloth. It was ready to be served. As I grew older , I was responsible for grinding the coffee. The aroma of our local coffee filled my nostril. Many years later after migrating to the United States, I saw the extent of coffee and the many flavors. It was during medical school that would join the coffee club and like they say ‘the rest is history.’

10 years after my mother’s passing, I am launching Rita’s Coffee in her honor. I can still see her and my great grandmother drinking their coffee every morning - it was their ritual.
